The Hering Gland steam condenser, including its blower unit, marks a crucial contribution to one of the world's most ambitious industrial climate protection projects. The system will be deployed in Northeast of the UK at a gas-fired power plant equipped with integrated Carbon Capture and Storage technology. This pioneering anchor project is set to supply electricity to over 1 million British households, while successfully capturing around 95 percent of the resulting CO₂ emissions—equivalent to a volume of 2 million tonnes per year. The Gland steam condenser secures critical sub-processes within the complex steam and carbon capture cycle, guaranteeing seamless compliance with local environmental regulations as well as all quality and safety standards.
