Hering AG supplied a 36MW heat exchanger rack with a total weight of 25t to recover heat from a sinter plant. The customer is a steel plant located in Southern Germany.

The heat exchanger combination consists of two shell & tube heat exchangers connected in series completely preassembled on a support frame with safety valve and insulation.  The entire construction was handed over to our customer ready for operation in mid-October.

In order to realize a heat transfer of 36MW, the heat exchangers waterflow is up to 300,000 litres per hour at an operating pressure of over 30 bar.
