Heat recovery units for 20MW plant in Canada
Short before Christmas HERING got the order to engineer and manufacture 5 exhaust gas heat exchanger systems for a project in the north of Alberta (Canada).
The heat recovery units are using the hot exhaust gases of 5 CAT natural gas engines to heat up thermal oil to 235°C. This hot oil is used for process heating which is needed in the gas production.
The exhaust gas heat exchangers will be designed according ASME Sect. VIII DIV. 1 including CRN. Due to customized material and special insulation the heat recovery units can be operated at very low temperatures up to -45°C.
